Kira Pan is a Chinese Australian painter. To her painting is an act of healing. It is a way to navigate the expansions and contractions of life - a reflection of values, emotions and connections.  In the preceding years, she has passionately explored the place of interiority through a series of air and water paintings whilst living in Shanghai. In 2024, she has returned to Sydney and embarked on a new cycle of growth.

"My painting style emerged as a convergence of different culture influences. Growing up on the north side of Sydney provided the connection with nature, while receiving academic training in both Chinese and European traditions drove a passion for history. The representations of nature in Chinese antiquity, together with the old masters of Baroque period have profound influences on me through their intertwined relationship with the Sublime."
